Coffee Senti sits quietly in the mountainous outskirts of Motobu, offering a retreat from the coastal bustle often associated with Okinawa’s tourist spots. This café is a good pick for coffee lovers who appreciate the nuances of freshly roasted beans and a calm, spacious environment. The interior has the feel of a cozy mountain cabin—wood tones and natural light create a laid-back vibe, making it easy to linger over a cup or two.

What sets Coffee Senti apart is their commitment to small-batch roasting on-site, which means the coffee is fresh and tailored to bring out distinctive flavors. Visitors often gravitate towards offerings like their signature iced coffee or the carefully chosen single-origin Costa Rican blend. Beyond straight coffee, they serve a variety of milky options, like caffè lattes and flat whites, often customized with soymilk or oat milk, reflecting a sensitivity to plant-based preferences.

It’s not just about the drinks here—the café also serves some notable snacks and sweets that pair well with coffee. For instance, the Oreo cheesecake and matcha basque cheesecake are local favorites that add a touch of indulgence to the experience. Morning visitors might find the “朝カレー” (morning curry) an unexpected but satisfying way to start the day alongside their brew.

Parking is generous and free, which is a practical plus given the café’s more remote location. The clientele tends to be a mix of curious travelers on their way to spots like Churaumi Aquarium and locals who appreciate a well-made coffee away from the more crowded beachside cafés. The atmosphere encourages slowing down—whether you’re chatting softly or enjoying a quiet moment with your drink, this place invites a relaxed coffee break surrounded by mountain air and the scent of roasting beans.

Ideal visits are during the day when natural light fills the spacious seating area and the outdoor air adds to the fresh coffee aroma. It’s a spot that suits those who see coffee as more than just a caffeine fix; rather, it’s a small, thoughtful pause before continuing on with the day’s adventures in northern Okinawa.

If you like real coffee, Coffee Senti is a must stop on your journey. They have some pretty amazing coffee varieties from all over the world, and they roast in house to perfection. They offer lattes, cappuccinos, mochas, filtered drip coffee, americanos, and pretty much anything else your heart desires. They also let you sub soymilk for free and they use Oatside oat milk which is one of the best barista blends out there. They also have some tasty cookies and cakes, including a few vegan/plant-based options. Overall we were very happy with all of our 4 drinks and we will definitely be back again!

We stopped by on the way to the Churaumi Aquarium, and I had the best coffee in Okinawa here. I chose the Costa Rican blend, and it was truly delicious. The atmosphere inside the shop was great too—it felt like a cozy mountain cabin. If you love coffee, this place is a must-visit.

We found a wonderful store hidden deep in the mountains, where the aroma of roasting wonderful coffee beans wafts through the air. The coffee is authentic and the staff is shy but friendly. This time, when I told them what I liked, they recommended a type of coffee bean with a rich berry aroma. I had a really nice time. Thank you!

Very chill cafe, that shares space with an Indonesian curry restaurant. They grind their own coffee beans and sells coffee beans / filter coffee. I tried the hot chai latte, which is great because it's not sweet. My dining partner tried the iced cafe latte - very fragrant. We shared a cheese terrine, like a cheesecake without the biscuit base. They sell their merch / has namecards and merch for other businesses too!

Great place. Convenient, located by the road. The inside is very nice and nice view in the back. The coffee was great and their Pat ice latte was delicious.

Great coffee in the woods. Coffee beans are roasted on site. Brew to the perfect temperature and pressure, the coffee is good - milk or not, both are good. Other snacks (cookies and pies) are available as well. Worth a detour to stop for a cup (or two)!
